Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s beautiful pearl island, offers pristine beaches, world-class attractions, and a relaxed vibe that easily beats many popular Thailand islands — with fewer crowds and better value for money. This well-planned 5-day itinerary is perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers, especially pure vegetarians. This 5-day itinerary is designed to help you make the most of your visit, with daily activities, must-see attractions, vegetarian dining options, and practical tips for navigating the island.

Day 1: Arrival & Grand World Magic
As soon as you land at Phu Quoc International Airport, exit the terminal and look to the left side for VinBus No. 17 stop. Your hotel (Wyndham Garden Grandworld Phu Quoc) will send a QR code via email one day before arrival. This unlimited free bus pass works throughout your stay and drops you directly at the hotel.
Why choose Wyndham Garden Grandworld? It is one of the best budget-friendly yet highly comfortable hotels in Phu Quoc. The location is perfect — just steps away from Venice Grand World, with its own clean private beach, excellent facilities, and free shuttle service. Highly recommended for both comfort and value.
After checking in, relax at the crystal-clear private beach right in front of the hotel. Scooter rental is conveniently available just opposite the hotel — they charge only VND 30,000 per hour or VND 250,000 to 300,000 for a full day. This is a great option if you want to explore nearby areas on your own.
In the evening, take a pleasant short walk to Venice Grand World. Stroll along the romantic Venice-inspired canals, enjoy gondola rides, vibrant performances, and stunning European-style architecture. End your first night with the spectacular water music show.
Grand World Exploration Tip: It is highly recommended to rent a scooter to explore the entire Grand World area at your own pace. The electric buggies inside Grand World are expensive and usually give you very limited time. With a scooter, you can comfortably explore all zones, hidden spots, and attractions without any rush.
Important Tip: Skip the Long Beach area and the old Night Market. The beach at Grand World is much cleaner, calmer, and more beautiful. Also, shopping and dining at Venice Grand World is far better, more vibrant, and safer compared to the old Night Market.
Day 2: VinWonders Theme Park & Vinpearl Safari
Utilise the hotel’s free unlimited shuttle buses to explore two major attractions. Start your morning at Vinpearl Safari, home to animals in large semi-wild enclosures. In the afternoon, move to VinWonders Phu Quoc — Vietnam’s largest theme park — for thrilling rides, water parks, cultural shows, and themed zones. Both attractions are connected and perfect for a full exciting day.
Day 3: 3-Island Hopping Adventure
Book a 3-Island or 4-Island Hopping Tour (best booked via Klook or Trip.com). This is the absolute highlight of any Phu Quoc trip. You’ll cruise through turquoise waters, snorkel with colorful fish, and relax on beautiful white-sand beaches. The tour operators usually provide lunch, snorkelling gear, and free drone shots of you and your group on the islands.
Evening return to Grand World for dinner and entertainment.
Important Tip: Carry around 15,000,000 VND (60 USD) in cash per person if you want to try the popular Under Water Walk / Water Sphere activity on the islands. Many tours don’t include this fun activity in the base price, so having cash ready will allow you to enjoy it without any hassle.
Day 4: Sunset Town, Hon Thom Cable Car & Fireworks Night
Take the free hotel bus to the airport area and then book a Grab taxi to Sunset Town. This route is very convenient and budget-friendly — the ride from the airport area to Rosie Hillside Seaview Phu Quoc costs only around 200,000 VND.
Money-Saving Tip: You can keep your luggage safely at the hotel lobby (they allow this for guests) and directly head to the world’s longest sea cable car to Hon Thom Island. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, explore the charming European-style Sunset Town, walk across the iconic Kiss Bridge, and soak in the beautiful sunset.
Scooter Rental: Electric scooters are available for rent just outside the Rosie Hillside apartment office. They charge around 300,000 VND for a full day. This is the best and most convenient way to explore the entire Sunset Town, Hon Thom area, and nearby beaches on your own at your own pace.
In the evening, check into Rosie Hillside Seaview Phu Quoc Apartment. The higher floors offer direct balcony views of the nightly fireworks and the spectacular Symphony of the Sea show — truly magical!
Day 5: Relaxation & Departure
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Sunset Town. If your flight is in the afternoon or evening, you have plenty of time to explore more.
For those who want to stay one extra day (highly recommended), head to Starfish Beach (Bãi Sao Starfish Beach). This is one of the most beautiful and unique beaches in Phu Quoc. The water here is crystal clear with a stunning turquoise color, and the beach is famous for its large number of bright red starfish that you can see in the shallow waters. It’s a perfect spot for swimming, photography, and relaxing in a peaceful environment away from the crowds. You can easily reach it by Grab.
After spending a peaceful morning at Starfish Beach, head back to pack and depart. Take a Grab taxi to Phu Quoc Airport. If you are returning from Grand World area, you can use the free hotel shuttle bus.
